The UMLSCC is a contest for MLS teams in which the Champion must defend the title every game. This is a fun-fan friendly way to raise interest in MLS games. The UMLSCC started when the San Jose Clash defeated DC United 1-0 in the first ever MLS game 1996. Since then the title has changed 155 times in 412 games. The current UMLSCC are Los Angeles. United win late in Chicago

Emilio scored in stoppage time and DC United got their first ever win in Chicago in UMLSCC play. The win also vaulted DC past KC and into 6th place in the MLS East. Jaime Moreno had scored earlier in the 2nd half (not on a PK; shocking I know :) ) to tie the game up.

This game was filled with a lot of cautions and three ejections. In the 55th Gallardo and Prideaux were ejected for violent conduct but then Bryan Namoff gathered two yellows in 3 minutes and was sent off. Namoff's ejection was in the 88th minute. DC scored both of their goals after each of the ejections. The game finished 10 on 9 in favor of Chicago.

Next up for DC United are the New York Red Bulls. Overall the teams have played 12 times and have split the results into thirds. Four wins for each team and four draws. The game will be in DC where United are 2-3-2 against Chicago at home.

Game will be Saturday the 14th at RFK.
