The UMLSCC is a contest for MLS teams in which the Champion must defend the title every game. This is a fun-fan friendly way to raise interest in MLS games. The UMLSCC started when the San Jose Clash defeated DC United 1-0 in the first ever MLS game 1996. Since then the title has changed 155 times in 412 games. The current UMLSCC are Los Angeles. This is LA's 14th title.

Dynamo push away DC

It was not a pretty game but Houston held onto the title after a 0-0 draw. Unless you like to see yellow cards and think that is pretty anyway :). There were seven cautions and one was an ejection. Colors are pretty ...

Anyway, there were only 9 shots total in the game. It couldn't have been fun to watch.

DC United are now 0-4-11 (WDL) when challenging on the road. DC have to get more than 1 SOG to get a victory in this department.

Next up for Houston are the expansion San Jose Earthquakes. SJ are playing their 3rd ever UMLSCC game. They have lost both of their previous games.

That game is tonight (Wednesday). It is a make up game from the recent hurricanes in Texas.
