Seven goals in Houston victory; next Chivas

The scoring came early and often in the first half. RSL led 2-1 after 25 minutes but just ten minutes later the Dynamo were up 3-2 and led 4-2 at the half. The next goal didn't come until the 80th minute. Houston's win also jumped them past RSL in the MLS West for the top spot at 29 points. RSL have 27 points.

Houston played their first MLS game since August 2nd. Now they have another game on Wednesday(and again on Sunday). This game is against Chivas USA. This is the first time the two teams have played in the UMLSCC.

This will be the 9th UMLSCC game for Chivas. The 77th for Houston(SJ). Chivas have won the title two times in four challenges. Houston is in the midst of its 15th title run. Chivas are 1-0-3 on the road. Houston is 16-16-12 at home. The Dynamo sit atop the MLS West while Chivas USA are just two points ahead of San Jose and in 6th place.
