Rapids hold Revs; Defeat NY in shootout!

Colorado held New England to a 1-1 draw at home after taking the title from the Chicago Fire the week before. New England still has only one road victory as a challenger in the UMLSCC.

This week Colorado traveled to New York and history would say that NY should walk away with the title. The Rapids were 0-2-7 (WDL) when playing on the road as the champions. The Rapids changed that when they walked away with a 5-4 back and forth win where the 9th goal of the game was "at the death". Goals came in bunches in this one. Colorado was up 2-1 in the first 11 minutes. In the final 11 minutes of the first half there were 4 more goals scored and the Rapids led 4-3 after trailing 3-2 only a few minutes before. Next goal came from NY in the 74th before Conor Casey got his hattrick in the 90th.

Now Colorado have won their first road game as Champion.

Colorado return home next week to host Houston.
