Wizards stop Seattle: Game #400 next

Kansas City held onto their title on the road, they are 6-5-5 now on the road with the title, after a 1-0 win against 10 man Seattle. The Sounders lost keeper Keller to a handball infraction near the 30th minute. The Wizard's Davy Arnaud blasted home a goal in the 80th.

2006 was the last time that KC had the title for more than 1 game. Their last title reign was last season with a 1-0 over Chicago before immediately losing to Toronto FC.

Now KC travels to Chicago with title in hand. This will be the 400th UMLSCC game.

The Wizards are 1-2-4 all time against Chicago and 1-0-3 in Chicago. The Fire currently lead the MLS East with 8 points. They have yet to taste defeat this season. All time in UMLSCC play the Fire are just about the best team. Overall they are 44-21-25(WDL). As a home challenger they are 10-5-3, but the Wizards are the best when defending the title on the road. Not counting defunct teams, and considering that expansion teams have only 8 games in defending their titles on the road, two of the teams have dropped the title 7 times each while the other seven are between 9 and 13 times. As mentioned before, KC are 6-5-5.

Overall the home teams are 193-101-105.

This game will be on Saturday April 18th.
