The UMLSCC is a contest for MLS teams in which the Champion must defend the title every game. This is a fun-fan friendly way to raise interest in MLS games. The UMLSCC started when the San Jose Clash defeated DC United 1-0 in the first ever MLS game 1996. Since then the title has changed 155 times in 412 games. The current UMLSCC are Los Angeles. This is LA's 14th title.

MLS Champ vs UMLSCC Champ

Toronto was able to defend their title in Houston against the best team in MLS at the moment. Not only defend their title, but TFC got a valuable road point for their playoff chase.

The final score was 0-0 and TFC didnt' do much in the game. There were no corners for either team and Houston outshot TFC 16-4. Also TFC had to play over one half down a man when Edu was ejected in the 42nd minute.

Toronto next travels to Columbus on Sunday.
