The UMLSCC is a contest for MLS teams in which the Champion must defend the title every game. This is a fun-fan friendly way to raise interest in MLS games. The UMLSCC started when the San Jose Clash defeated DC United 1-0 in the first ever MLS game 1996. Since then the title has changed 155 times in 412 games. The current UMLSCC are Los Angeles. This is LA's 14th title.

TFC take title in Salt Lake; defend in Chicago

Collin Samuel scored a PK to give TFC the 2-1 lead with about 10 minutes to go spoil a home point for Salt Lake on the 4th of July. Samuel converted the penalty after being pulled down in the box. Jeff Cunningham gave Toronto the lead in the 19th minute before Eskandarian converted a PK in the 45th.

This is Toronto's second UMLSCC title. Toronto then traveled to Chicago to take on the team that gave them thier first win earlier this season and it looked like the smoldering Fire were going to get the season back on track after a Chad Barrett PK in the 70th but Maurice Edu scored 8 minutes later... on Toronto's only shot on goal the entire game...TFC escaped with a 1-1 draw and hold onto the UMLSCC.

Toronto take their show on the road on Sunday the 15th against Houston Dynamo.
Without checking the stats, I think this is the first UMLSCC between the 2 teams, but it's the 2nd game ever. TFC won the first one 1-0 at home for thier second ever win.

interesting idea with the site here, I like it. I wrote about it here http://www.mlsfanblog.com/unofficial-mls-club-championship/ and being a Wizards fan as well I created a Wizards only results page.
