Red Bulls give up first goals of season, but not title

RSL was playing in their first ever UMLSCC game and the NY Red Bulls raced out to a 2-0 lead. Jamaican Dane Ricards scored the 1000th UMLSCC goal but it was far from the last scored in this game. Chris Klein netted the first goal NY had given up all season but then Clint Mathis scored his second of the game and the Red Bulls looked to hang onto the title with a victory and retain first place overall in the MLS. However in the dieing moments of regulation Jeff Cunningham of RSL converted a PK and then in the 3rd minute of stoppage time Chris Brown nailed a shot and the game ended 3-3.

RBNY remains the champ, but have lost thier League lead and also thier season clean sheet. NY hosts Colorado on the 13th.
