The UMLSCC is a contest for MLS teams in which the Champion must defend the title every game. This is a fun-fan friendly way to raise interest in MLS games. The UMLSCC started when the San Jose Clash defeated DC United 1-0 in the first ever MLS game 1996. Since then the title has changed 155 times in 412 games. The current UMLSCC are Los Angeles. Clásico was Súper for Chivas USA; Razov

Chivas and Ante Razov waited until ESPN2 was done with the Yankees-Red Sox game and then scored twice in 6 minutes. The 2 goal advantage lasted just 6 more minutes but CD Chivas USA was able to hold off the Galaxy for a 2-1 victory. It was their first ever point against LA and it ruined the debut of new coach Yallop. The Galaxy slump reaches 7 games.

Chivas have now won 3 games in a row and also have the 4th Western Conference playoffspot as they jump past Real Salt Lake.

Chivas will defend their title on the road against FC Dallas this Sunday.
